Access sleeping or shutdown Windows, macOS, and Linux devices using Wake-On-LAN.

Requirements

  • At least one more AnyDesk device in the local network must be online.
  • Wake-On-LAN is enabled in the AnyDesk settings.
Wake-On-LAN in the Security Settings

Wake-On-LAN Settings

My AnyDesk transmits my microphone rather than the sound coming from my computer every time I turn it on in a connection even though I selected my speakers in the options and I can't seem to find a solution. For example, I can currently connect my desktop to my Samsung A50 and completely use the phone (e.g., change settings, open apps, input text, download files, etc.) through the software. I cannot say enough about AnyDesk. The software is awesome and easy to use. Will AnyDesk allow the same access on the Moto G.

  • Disabled: Deactivates Wake-On-LAN in AnyDesk.
  • Enabled: Activated by default. Using this option, AnyDesk will automatically ping random AnyDesk clients on the same direct local area network as the device to be woken up and request them to send a wake-up packet to the target device.
  • Enabled, but wake your device using the following desks only: AnyDesk ID(s) from devices in the local network can be set up here. The device can only be woken up, as long as one of the devices in the list is online.

Wake from Sleep Mode

AnyDesk wakes devices set to Sleep Mode, given that at least one device running AnyDesk is available in the local network of the incoming client.

Wake from Shutdown

Wake on LAN for devices that are shutdown:

  • Shutdown (S5 Power State, default for Windows 7)

is available when the network-adapter is configured for Wake-On-LAN in the BIOS/UEFI.

        4. Additional power settings
        5. Choose 'what the power buttons do'
        6. Uncheck the option 'Turn on fast startup'
    2. For macOS:
      1. Launch System Preferences
      2. Click on 'Energy Saver' located at the second row of icons
        1. For laptops: Select 'Power Adapter' tab, check 'Wake for Wi-Fi network access' box (your Wi-Fi router needs to support this feature)
        2. For desktops: Towards the center of window under Computer sleep and Display sleep sliders, check the 'Wake for Network access' box.
  3. Wake-over-Wifi needs the same setup in the BIOS/UEFI and a Wifi Router that supports it.

** user = the initiator of a session

Currently, we only offer subscriptions on an annual basis and we only offer annual billings.

No, your subscription will be automatically renewed if you do not cancel it beforehand.

We accept payments via Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, and PayPal. Bank transfers are only accepted for DACH.

If you want to start remote access, you need a valid license assigned to the respective account , e.g. via your own AnyDesk address or alias. By user, the initiator of a session is meant.

With each paid license, devices can be registered according to the size of the license. A user can, for example, log in and start sessions on up to 3 devices in parallel.

You can rename your AnyDesk address (e.g. 123 456 789) to an available alias in the @AD domain (example. My.Name@AD). The namespace option allows you to specify an individual namespace available only to you, e.g. My.Name@CompanyName.

Unattended Access allows you to access a remote device without anyone having to be active or accept a session request on that. Instead you need to enter a password and are then connected to the remote device. You can read more about this in our help center:

https://support.anydesk.com/Unattended_Access

Licensing is done by the initiator of a session, i.e. the host.
